Hello
My name is Henk. I am a certified Counselling Professional and offer counselling online and over the phone throughout the UK, and in person (face-to-face in dedicated treatment rooms in Llandeilo in Wales).
I am engaging, thoughtful and empathic and provide a non-judgmental, confidential space for us to explore the painful or troubling issue that brought you to seek counselling.
Having received my training in the Person-Centred approach (see ‘Way of Working’), my aim is to always work in a way that is helpful to the client. This means we will work at your pace, and that there are regular opportunities to review our progress. Seeing clients progress always fills me with pride – for their achievements as well as for the counselling process. For myself, it is a humbling experience as it always reminds me of the inborn drive we possess to grow. Counselling therapy is my passion, and I look forward to helping you. Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, … or …??” With so many different options it is only natural to feel at a loss when trying to find the ‘right’ person for you. Research clearly suggests that a good relationship between you and your therapist is most important for a positive outcome, so it's important to listen to your instinct. An free 30-minute initial consultation will provide you with the opportunity to do so and give you a glimpse of what working with me might be like.
